Colorado Rockies vs Chicago White Sox Free Baseball Pick 6/29

Two of the weakest offenses in Major League Baseball, and guess what? The weather forecast is surprisingly calm, so this number is quite intriguing. Colorado’s Cal Quantrill boasts an impressive 1.50 ERA in three daytime starts. But let’s be real, can’t even take that stat seriously. These lineups scoring more than nine runs combined? Only if there’s a jet stream carrying the balls out of the park. Or if both starting pitchers suddenly forget how to pitch. Or maybe if it’s Disco Demolition Night all over again. But none of those scenarios are happening.

The folks over at DraftKings have this game pegged at 9 runs on the board. Honestly, I think that’s a bit generous – this game should probably be set at 8 runs, if not lower. I mean, have you seen these teams at bat? Watching them try to score is like watching a toddler trying to hit a piñata. Blindfolded. In a windstorm.

So unless the laws of baseball physics are temporarily suspended, don’t expect a fireworks display at this game. Save the excitement for the seventh-inning stretch and hope the mascots put on a good show. Because the only thing these offenses are knocking out of the park are fans – straight to the concession stands out of sheer boredom.

In summary, don’t let the number 9 fool you. Without a freak weather event or a pitching meltdown of historic proportions. These teams will be lucky to light up the scoreboard at all. If you’re placing a bet, you might want to consider under 9. And maybe grab a book or a game of Sudoku to keep yourself entertained through those scoreless innings.

Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers Free MLB Pick 6/29

The Chicago Cubs Really SUCK

The Brewers are on a roll, having snagged their fifth consecutive win yesterday. And I’m betting they keep the momentum going today. Let’s break it down: Milwaukee has been on fire, boasting a 19-11 record over their last 30 games. And a dazzling 26-12 at home this year. On the flip side, the Cubs are trudging along with an 11-19 record in their last 30 games and a dismal 16-27 on the road. It’s like they’re allergic to winning away from Wrigley.

Sure, the Cubs (REALLY SUCK) might get a little boost from sending a lefty to the mound today. Since the Brewers hit better against righties. But let’s talk about Milwaukee’s starter, Tobias Myers. This guy has been a revelation, giving up just one run at most in six of his seven starts since getting shellacked by the Cubs in early May at Wrigley. Not only that, but Myers has also been a winning machine in his last four outings. It’s like he found the cheat codes to pitching excellence.

The perceived pitching mismatch is skewing the odds more than it should. The Cubs might have a southpaw advantage, but Milwaukee’s bats aren’t likely to be silenced for long. Meanwhile, Myers is out there pitching like he’s got something to prove—probably because he does. After getting rocked by the Cubs once, he’s been on a mission to redeem himself, and he’s done a pretty darn good job so far.

So, while the odds might seem to favor the Cubs slightly due to the lefty on the mound, don’t let that fool you. The Brewers are sizzling hot, Myers is dealing like a poker shark, and the Cubs are just trying to find their way home. Expect Milwaukee to keep the good times rolling.

Minnesota Twins vs Seattle Mariners Free Baseball Prediction 6/29

The Mariners had a day off to recharge their bullpen, while the Twins were busy channeling their inner Vikings, putting up football scores in Arizona. And not the Kirk Cousins kind of numbers—think more along the lines of Sam Darnold. We all know how this goes: a baseball team explodes for double-digit runs one night and then does a whole lot of nothing the next game. Enter Logan Gilbert, Seattle’s ace, who’s set to take the mound on Friday.

Gilbert has been downright stingy, not allowing a single run over his past 16 innings. I might have backed the wrong Mariner for the Cy Young in George Kirby, though he’s been fantastic lately too. But Gilbert is making a strong case for himself. He’s leading the AL in WHIP with an impressive 0.89, tied for first in quality starts with 13, ranks third in opponent batting average at .196, and is seventh in ERA at 2.71. This guy’s stats read like a baseball fan’s dream.

The Twins, fresh off their Arizona slugfest, are likely to find themselves stymied by Gilbert’s prowess. Teams often struggle to maintain that offensive momentum after a big blowout, and Gilbert is precisely the kind of pitcher who can turn that momentum into a cold shower.

So, while the Twins might be hoping to ride the wave of their recent scoring spree, they’re in for a tough matchup against a pitcher who’s been lights out. Meanwhile, the Mariners, with a well-rested bullpen and a red-hot ace, look primed to capitalize. If you’re placing bets, put your chips on Gilbert and the Mariners.
