Jets vs 49ers Elite NFL Pick 9/9

Here at Elite Sports Beat I won my first 10* Elite NFL pick as I bet the OVER 46.5 in the Cardinals vs Bills matchup. Tonight I have a pick and decided to post it on here, for FREE below! Jets vs 49ers Elite NFL Pick 9/9

Jets’ Hopes Crushed Early, 49ers’ Heartbreak Came Late

The Super Bowl dreams of the New York Jets last season were shattered almost immediately when Aaron Rodgers. Their prized offseason acquisition, went down with a season-ending Achilles injury after just four plays. For the San Francisco 49ers, the heartbreak lingered until the final play of the season. When they allowed a game-winning touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes in overtime to lose the Super Bowl.

Though the 2023 campaigns for these two teams couldn’t have been more different. They enter the season opener on Monday night as top contenders for the elusive championship. Which has slipped through their grasp for decades.

The Jets are still chasing their first postseason appearance since 2010, enduring the longest active playoff drought in the NFL. Meanwhile, the 49ers have been painfully close in recent years but have yet to secure the Lombardi Trophy since 1994. From blowing a 10-point lead in the 2019 Super Bowl to losing back-to-back NFC title games to the Rams and Eagles in 2021-22, San Francisco has come up short time and again. The physical and emotional toll is clear for a team that’s played so many extra games without the ultimate payoff.

Rodgers’ Arrival Brings New Hope

The Jets haven’t hoisted the trophy since Joe Namath famously declared victory after the 1968 season. A distant memory in a franchise filled with disappointment. Rodgers was brought in to change all that, but his impact never materialized due to his early injury. Now, with a bolstered offensive line and one of the league’s top defenses. The Jets are hoping for a different outcome in 2024.

Both offenses lean heavily on star running backs—New York’s Breece Hall and San Francisco’s Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey set the standard last season, leading the NFL in rushing and yards from scrimmage while racking up 21 touchdowns en route to being named AP Offensive Player of the Year. Hall, who returned strong from a knee injury that cut his rookie season short, is eager to prove he belongs in that elite tier of backs.

Familiar Faces and Key Matchups

Contract disputes loomed over both teams during the offseason, but San Francisco managed to lock in key players like receiver Brandon Aiyuk and All-Pro tackle Trent Williams just in time for Week 1. The Jets, however, are still in a standoff with offseason acquisition Haason Reddick, who remains absent from practice as he seeks a new deal, leaving New York’s pass rush in limbo.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh downplayed his return to the Bay Area, where he once served as defensive coordinator under Kyle Shanahan, helping the Niners reach the 2019 Super Bowl. But his familiarity with the team’s system will add an extra layer of intrigue to the matchup.

For 49ers defensive end Leonard Floyd, this game brings him face-to-face with Rodgers for the 11th time in his career. Despite recording 10 sacks against Rodgers, Floyd’s teams have often been on the losing end. That includes last season’s opener, where Floyd’s sack led to Rodgers’ Achilles tear in the Jets’ 22-16 overtime win over Buffalo.

New York Jets +4 (5*)
