I don’t hand out official NBA plays lightly. If the edge isn’t real, I pass. If the number is soft and the matchup lines up, I strike.
Tonight, I’m making the call — and I’m releasing it for free to everyone.
✅ Official Elite NBA Pick : LA Clippers-122 (10*)
This is one of those spots where the line tells you the market kind of believes in the Clippers… but not enough.
And that’s exactly where we want to be.
Why I’m Backing the Clippers
1) Portland is shorthanded in all the wrong places
The Trail Blazers come into this one with a thin rotation and key pieces missing, including Jerami Grant and Scoot Henderson (plus other notable absences). When Portland is forced deeper into the bench, it usually shows up late — defensive breakdowns, empty possessions, and no easy scoring when things get tight.
2) LAC can control the game even without being “perfect”
Even with Ivica Zubac out, the Clippers still have the type of roster that can dictate pace, get quality half-court looks, and avoid the sloppy stretches that let underdogs hang around.
When you’re laying a short number (or playing the moneyline), that matters more than flashy highlight stretches.
3) The matchup history points one way
This isn’t the kind of opponent that gives the Clippers trouble. L.A. has won 12 of the last 13 meetings against Portland — and while rosters change, the theme is the same: the Clippers typically handle business in this matchup.
4) Moneyline > spread in a tight road spot
Instead of asking the Clippers to win by margin, we’re simply asking them to win the game. On the road, that’s often the smarter approach — especially when you expect a competitive 4th quarter.
The Bottom Line
Tonight’s play is about taking the stronger roster in the better situation — and not overcomplicating it.
This is my official Elite NBA pick, and I’m putting it out free so everyone can see exactly how I operate when I think the number is right.
If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, this is your chance to follow along and see the difference between real discipline and random “pick blasts.”
