Diamondbacks ML

Arizona is the side I trust in this matchup against the Mets. The biggest reason is the pitching setup. Eduardo Rodriguez gives the Diamondbacks a more stable starting point, and that matters against a Mets lineup that has had trouble producing consistent offense against left-handed pitching. When a team is already struggling in that split, facing a veteran lefty who can work through a lineup multiple times creates a tough path to sustained scoring.

The bullpen situation also favors Arizona. The Mets’ path to winning likely requires cleaner middle relief than they have consistently shown, especially if their starter does not give them length. That puts pressure on New York to manufacture runs early, because if this game gets into the later innings close, the Diamondbacks appear to have the better structure to protect the lead and shorten the game.

Arizona also offers the better overall value because this is not a spot where we need to lay a heavy number. The Diamondbacks have the pitching edge, the more favorable matchup against the opposing lineup, and a cleaner late-game profile. I make Arizona the better side and would play the Diamondbacks on the moneyline.

Final Score: D-Backs 5-1
