Diamondbacks vs Padres Elite Baseball Prediction 7/6

The San Diego Padres showcased their resilience once again. Overcoming a one-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth to secure a thrilling 10-8 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Manny Machado’s two-run walk-off homer sealed the win, exemplifying the team’s never-give-up attitude.

This helped me because I bet the OVER 8.5 last night as a 5* official MLB pick. And it was an easy winner for all paying customers! So far this week I am 3-0-1 +$1,500 and so far this MLB season I am 31-16-5 (66%) +$6,537 Proof can be found here. Now, let’s take a look at my elite baseball prediction 7/6.

Home Field Dominance

San Diego’s victory continued their impressive run at Petco Park. Where they’ve won 10 of their last 11 games, including five walk-offs. Machado’s homer marked the Padres’ fourth walk-off blast since June 11, showcasing their clutch hitting prowess.

The Padres’ recent success has been fueled by their potent offense, averaging over six runs per game while winning 12 of their past 15 contests. With 33 innings of at least four runs, they lead MLB, and their 104 home runs rank seventh. Seven players have hit at least 10 homers. Giving San Diego the ability to produce big innings and overcome pitching challenges.

Starting Pitcher: Matt Waldron

Right-hander Matt Waldron (5-7, 3.56 ERA) is slated to start for the Padres on Saturday. Despite a rough outing in a 4-1 loss to Boston, where he lasted just 4 1/3 innings and gave up four runs. Waldron had previously delivered six consecutive quality starts. He’ll aim to rebound against Arizona, against whom he’s 1-1 in two starts this season.

Diamondbacks’ Struggles and Pitching Outlook

For the Diamondbacks, a potentially game-changing win slipped away as closer Paul Sewald surrendered homers to Jurickson Profar and Machado, resulting in his second consecutive blown save. Arizona turns to Brandon Pfaadt (3-6, 4.28 ERA) for a solid start. Pfaadt recently delivered a strong performance, allowing just one run in six innings during a 5-1 win over the Oakland Athletics.

San Diego has posted two wins against Pfaadt this year, including a 10-3 victory on June 7 when they tagged him for five runs in 5 1/3 innings. Pfaadt owns a 4.13 career ERA and a 0-2 record in four starts against the Padres.

Elite Baseball Prediction 7/6

Given the Padres’ home field advantage, their recent offensive output, and Arizona’s bullpen issues, it’s likely that San Diego will continue their winning ways. Waldron, if he can return to his quality start form, should provide enough stability on the mound to complement the Padres’ strong batting lineup.
